Counseling can be one way to explore your inner and external landscape as well as start the process of healing. Some clients have specific reasons for seeking counseling at this time while others are curious about enhancing an aspect of their experience in life.

Counseling is inherently personal. Therefore, it is critical that each person feels comfortable with who they are working with. The foundation for therapy I provide is built on openness, acceptance, honesty, humor, and trust. I believe that we each have inner resilience and, from time to time, we might need a little more attention, care, time, and space to tap into it. I am adept in areas of coping skills, life transitions, self-esteem, relationships with both the self and others, and anxiety.

Individual counseling

Mindfulness based and trauma-informed with a focus on exploring and strengthening the mind/body connection. My practice draws on techniques from mindfulness, motivational interviewing, EMDR, cognitive behavioral science, and existential theory. I work from the belief that it is essential to create a kind, non-judgmental relationship with ourselves so that we can interact and engage with others and the world from a place of compassion and understanding.

Yoga therapy

The mind and body are always communicating, sending messages north and south via their bi-directional highway. Sometimes, we become too busy or we lose the connection to the communication. This can lead us towards maladaptive coping mechanisms and losing touch with our resilience and ability to self-regulate.

Mindfulness practices

Mindfulness is a beautiful practice. It allows us to be still, accept where we are in the present moment, and be at ease. Mindfulness can be experienced in numerous ways including, in the form of meditation or gentle movement.

Insurance and Payment

Currently, insurance is not billed at this time. Payment is due at the time of your appointment. Most major credit and debit cards and Venmo are acceptable forms of payment.
